To mark employees as Tax Ready in myGov, you must complete the STP Finalisation process and successfully lodge it with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Once the ATO has accepted the finalisation, employees can access their Income Statement in myGov with a Tax Ready status.
Finalise STP
Navigate to Reports, Single Touch Payroll.
Select the relevant Financial Year.
Click Start Finalisation Process.
Review the employee year-to-date (YTD) information.
Click Lodge with ATO.
Wait for the lodgement to be successfully processed.
Once the STP Finalisation has been successfully lodged and accepted by the ATO, the employees' Income Statements in myGov will be updated to Tax Ready.
Note: Employees should wait until the STP Finalisation has been successfully accepted by the ATO before lodging their individual tax returns.
